As far as I know that's not possible because of X-server VT locking
mechanism. The virual terminal the screen attaches to is not a real virual
terminal an Xserver needs to lock, I suppose. Some more experienced users with X
terminology could correct me if I'm wrong.

Your question is intresting to me because Linux have many feature not
avaible in other operating systems - for example you don't need to
restart the system unless you actually change your kernel. Linux gives you
opportinity to detatch from a terminal leaving a sesion backgrounded
(like with the screen program you try to use). Forwarding an Xsession
over TCP from a powerful P4 2000+ PC running heavy KDE or GNOME session on a
Pentium 90/16MB is also interesting thing to learn linux power. After a while you think there's no limits :) Actually
there isn't but sometimes you think of very simple thing and the
solution is not as straightforward as you cound possibly imagine - in my case:
I wanted to run 2 independend Xservers having 2 mice and 2 keyboards(one
usb)
attached to my lin-box to virtually provide 2 pc on one machine (just
plug-in 2 vga's and 2 monitors) but with the stock X-server is not
possible just because of that VT locking mechanism and the mechanism the
linux handles virtual consoles. There isn't simple solution to that
unless you patch the X-Free sources and provide some support from the
kernel... Just my reflection - don't mind.

Greetings to everyone
