AIC7xxx problem

Hi. We have a Adaptec 2940 SCSI card and while
installing Slink we get a repeating error message
"scsi : aborting command due to timeout: pid 0, scsi
0, channel 0, lun 0, Test unit ready 00 00 00 00 00."

Also tried the boot option aic7xxx=no_probe option in
install.bat

The SCSI card also has a Compaq CD-ROM and a Seagate
1.2 GB drive. It's a Pentium with 32MB RAM.

If you need any other information, please let me know.
 I appreciate your help.
