laptops and big kernels (was Re: Bug#32421: Bootdisk reboots on Toshiba 3010CT)

There's a patch that allows booting bzImage kernels on laptops (the
kernel we used for 1.3 tecra disks is a bzImage one). It doesn't work on
some desktops, so we can't use that on our "official" kernel.
I thought that I had used the same patch on boot-floppies_2.1.5 but
obviously I didn't, as the teca disk doesn't work. I will double check
that for 2.1.6.
