Hello, Test build 2 of XFree86 3.3.2.3a-8 is now available at http://master.debian.org/~branden/xfree86. There is a Packages.gz file there so it is APT-ready. See the APT file in that directory for the appropriate sources.list file. Those who are already using test build 1 of -8 will have to upgrade manually, sorry. Adam Heath is working on a way to preserve the compiled source for builds in which only stuff under debian/ is changes. If he can work it out I will start releasing test builds with versions like this: (xfree86_3.3.2.3a-8) xfree86_3.3.2.3a-8pre9build1 xfree86_3.3.2.3a-8pre9build2 (xfree86_3.3.2.3a-9) Please don't tell me to use the "-nc" flag in dpkg-buildpackage. The situation with compiling X is more complicated than just not debian/rules clean'ing. Anyway, this release addresses all release-critical problems of which I am aware, except for some problems with XF86Setup. If you already have an /etc/X11/XF86Config file for your X server, I'd very much appreciate any testing you guys could do.
