Is anyone interesting? Should we apply or at least ventilate the
hypothesis to hold it in Switzerland? Some reasons why I think we
should at least announce it to the world:

1) according to Chistian [1] we are the second largest Debian Developer
community... relative, I know, but still! Actually, I am quite sure
that if some few members will become DDs we will beat .fi ;-)

2) people during various conferences and or gatherings (being Debian- or
Free Software-related or even private) have discussed about that
quite a lot, it is time we do something.

3) the debian.ch community is quite visible, despite actually not being
so in Switzerland, it is worlwide, mostly because of the merchandise
stuff and the presence at conferences.

Gerold (cc:ed) privately offered to help organizing a Debian-related
events in the French part of Switzerland: we should for sure start
setting something like the Mini DebConf Paris 2010 [2], but both events
are not mutually exclusive.
