The default for X11Forwarding is yes, however the sshd_config manpage contains

X11Forwarding
Specifies whether X11 forwarding is permitted. The argument must be “yes” or “no” The default is “no”

If X11Forwarding is absent from the configuration file, sshd defaults to
"X11Forwarding no", as described. Debian's default sshd_config sets it
to yes instead, but I think it's still valuable for sshd_config(5) to
describe the behaviour of sshd when that option is absent from the
configuration file.

Cheers,
