Package: ssh
Version: 3.4p1-1
Severity: minor

I had bash 2.01.1-4.1 (from slink) installed.
The postinst script for ssh does
	update-alternatives --display $cmd | grep -q ssh
which emits a "broken pipe" error when grep finds ssh
I don't think this affects the functionality of the postinst script, but it
has the effect of making the user nervous.
This was fixed when I upgraded to the woody version of bash.

I suggest a versioned dependency on bash.

I think this might have been a good idea at the time, but five years
later I don't think there's a lot of point. Even woody is now two
releases behind the current stable release, and is no longer
security-supported. I'm closing this out now unless you think there's
still a compelling reason to add the versioned dependency (which after
all would just be documenting a bug in another package).

Thanks,
