Bug#898985: gdisk: FTBFS on sparc64, testsuite failure due to unaligned access

Source: gdisk
Severity: normal
Tags: upstream
User: debian-sparc@lists.debian.org
Usertags: sparc64

Hi!

gdisk fails to build from source on sparc64 since the testsuite
fails [1]. This is because gdisk itself crashes on sparc64 due to
unaligned access:

./gdisk_test.sh
[0;32m**SUCCESS**[m Temp disk sucessfully created

[0;34m**Testing gdisk binary**[m

./gdisk_test.sh: line 110: 178613 Bus error $GDISK_BIN $TEMP_DISK <<EOF
$OPT_CLEAR
Y
w
Y
EOF

[0;31m**FAILED**[m gdisk return 138 when creating partition table

This has already been reported upstream [2]. As you can see there,
I have already run the binary through gdb but I currently can't
tell where the unaligned access is happening.

Please note that our sparc64 porterbox (sakharov) is currently
down due to hardware issues. We're working on resolving the
problem.
