Netras wedged after failed install

I just got a pair of Netra T1s from a friend and went to plop Debian
on them. I've already for a Netra X1 and a Ultra2 running Debian, and
have had a SSLX and SS20 running it in the past.

The sarge netinst (regular and businesscard) failed with the "bad
cramfs magic" error, as did every d-i iso I could get my hands on.
Finally I fell back to a Woody iso, which did boot but locked the
system up when "Install kernel and modules" was selected. Of course,
by that point in the install the old Solaris install was long gone, on
restart I now just get:

  Boot device: [OB dev string]
  Warning: Fcode sequence resulted in[END]

Sometimes there's a bit more about a stack being added to. But the
important bit is that I now have NEBS-certified paperweights. No
matter how many times I bang the Break key on my terminal, the thing
just sits there. LOMlite can reboot it, but it just does the same
thing once it gets to that point again.

Any ideas?
