Just a little note: my Sun Blade 100 is happily running Debian Sid. I installed
Debian about a year ago, starting with a Woody net install. However,
occasionally, the time and date on this machine seem to jump 2 or 3 days ahead.
When that happens, the machine only responds to pings; everything else seems
frozen. I don't know why this happens, and it happened about 4 times last year.
I haven't been able to find the cause of this problem; sometimes it is running
for days without a problem, but once this happend just during boot. I have to
add that I usually turn this machine off at night, as I have to sleep in the
same room. I have never had this problem when the machine was running Solaris 8,
though when it was running Solaris, it was usually not for more than a day.

My Sun Ultra 5 doesn't seem to have this problem, but I have to note that my U5
is usually turned off and I got my U5 just about 6 months ago.

I don't know if this problem is software or hardware related. I have to try a
new version of openboot (currently running 4.0.45); perhaps that fixes the
problem, but it's basically just stabbing in the dark.

Best regards

Admar
