First, thanks for the responses on the best OS to install for an SS20. I was the one who had an Apple (Sony) cdrom connected externally to an SS20. Turns out the cdrom is NOT compatible with Sun stuff. I got a Toshiba this weekend and the install wizzed past the error I was getting with the Sony cdrom. Now my troubles are all human error since I know the hardware is ok. charles.....
