Hi I just took the cdrtools package which contains a patch for mkisofs to make bootable silo cds. Well, this patch is not the best that could be, why patch mkisofs if silo needs help? So it is to be removed in the not-so-far future. (Planned for next Upstream Release). I already talked with Ben Collins, he said he will work on it. But he has not much time (we all have a real life :) ). So I sent this mail to the sparc list. Maybe here are people that want to help with it. :) More information about the whole thing is in Readme.silo in the mkisofs package and in the debian/patches/04_silo.dpatch (which should die, dont patch mkisofs any longer :) ). Please CC me on flames/comments, Im not subscribed to -sparc. Thx. -- begin OjE-ist-scheisse.txt bye, Joerg Encrypted Mail preferred! Registered Linux User #97793 @ http://counter.li.org end
