is it a bad idea "ether=.." parameters?

Another thing:
I've made test with ethtool (good stuff ;) and eth0 seem fine (i can
read/modify its conf) but eth1 doesn't work ( i had a message like it is
not supported by device!)...
that's why i've seen that dhclient put the card in speed=10 autoneg no,
etc...
