fwiw, we talked a bit about this from time to time on the vger linux-sparc
list. its the same thing that has been showing up in 2.4 since 2.4 has
been usable. if anything, it appears to be only ultra1 + happy meal related, and
only effects the onboard nic. i have not had any problems with my 2nd sbus
happy meal re: the timeouts. recently i tried a linus 2.4.18 and had the
same thing happen within a few minutes of pushing data across the nic.
iirc, mr. uziel has seen this behavior as well.
