I just grepped the changelogs from nef-common and nfs-kernel-server
but did not found the string rpc.mountd. I only found:

nfs-utils (1:0.1.9.1-2) unstable; urgency=medium

  * Upstream addition of tcpwrapper support in statd and mountd.

But I have to admit that I do not see the relation to the problem.
I did not changed /etc/hosts.{allow,deny} on any of my NFS-servers
and despite the fact that they have equal /etc/exports they behave
different :-(.

Kind regards

         Andreas.
