Philips CDRW800 on woody

Hello,

I'm trying to install a CD writer on my Ultra 10 running woody.
I have now :

- hda : first IDE disk on ide0.
- hdb : second IDE disk on ide0.
- hdc : IDE CDROM (original from SUN) master on ide1.

I have put a Philips CDRW800 on the slave channel of the ide1.
At the boot prompt, the command probe-ide reconize the 4 devices.

But the linux kernel don't see the CD writer :

cool:/dev# dmesg | grep hd
ide0: BM-DMA at 0xfffff9fe02c00020-0xfffff9fe02c00027, BIOS settings: hda:pio, hdb:pio
ide1: BM-DMA at 0xfffff9fe02c00028-0xfffff9fe02c0002f, BIOS settings: hdc:pio, hdd:pio
hda: ST39140A, ATA DISK drive
hdb: IBM-DTTA-351010, ATA DISK drive
hdc: CRD-8322B, ATAPI CDROM drive
hda: ST39140A, 8693MB w/448kB Cache, CHS=17662/16/63, (U)DMA
hdb: IBM-DTTA-351010, 9671MB w/466kB Cache, CHS=19650/16/63, (U)DMA
hdc: ATAPI 32X CD-ROM drive, 128kB Cache
hda: hda1 hda2 hda3 hda4
hdb: hdb1 hdb2 hdb3 hdb4
cool:/dev#

The device is created:

cool:/dev# ls -l /dev/hdd
brw-rw---- 1 root disk 22, 64 Nov 27 19:20 /dev/hdd

Any hint ?

Good day.
