the install

Hi All,

  Does the debian install a two pieces?  Meaning does
the complete install require a second piece after you
do an initial install?  I did an install onto my sparc
but cant ftp, telnet, startx, finger, etc....


  I know that RH uses linuxconf for configuration, not
sure about debian.

  I noticed some files *.deb, how do I install them?
Is this a type of zip file?
