There is a slight incompatibility between Debian 2.1's network initialisation scripts and the 2.2.x kernels. The error is harmless and may be ignored, as far as I know, though it would be nice if the scripts could be updated to not do this. (It can't be too hard to write a script that works without errors with 2.0.x or 2.2.x, can it?) Edmund
