Does 'ldd /usr/lib/libm.so' (to pick one example) work for you?  It
doesn't for me...

I suspect these only affect *some* models in the SPARC range.  SS2 and SS
classic seem to have trouble with boot-floppies (IIRC).  At least one
other user has reported trouble with tftpboot.img.  Possibly the problems
are in 4c-class machines?
