If you have a RedHat system, just install the source RPM and then look
somewhere under /usr/src/redhat/SOURCES and you'll find the original tar
plus seperate patches. Otherwise, run rpm2cpio on the source RPM and
extract the patches. (The patches are seperate files.)

You are allowed to take the patches to the GPL'ed software since that is
what the GPL dictates. Most of RedHat is GPL'ed software.
