Hi Anton, Thanks for the welcome! I realise it’s still a team thing, but someone (or more than one) has to be given under Uploaders (referred to as maintainer(s) from here on; of course Debian Science will remain in the Maintainer field) in the case of team-maintained packages. Either way I will be continuing to work on the package; I would just like to have my name listed as the maintainer, be officially responsible for the package within the team, etc. Given that I have contacted both the current maintainers and received their approval, can I go ahead and change the Uploaders field? Thanks, James > On 20 Jan 2016, at 21:18, Anton Gladky <gladk@debian.org> wrote: > > Hi James, > > "team maintenance" implies the maintaining of packages by team > members without prior orphanage of packages inside the team. > Of course, if package actively maintained, one need to talk to > current maintainer about co-working. Given that the package was not officially orphaned despite the lack of activity, this was merely as a member of Debian Science. I would like to take over officially as maintainer, and have been in contact with the two listed maintainers: Lionel Elie Mamane <lmamane@debian.org>, whose approval I am replying to, and Achim D. Brucker <brucker@member.fsf.org>, whose approval I have attached. Have I done everything necessary, and if so, could I please have some form of official approval to go ahead and change the Uploaders field? > > Many Thanks, > James Clarke >
