Just today I discovered that "mpicc" fails: steve@riemann{alioth}mpicc /usr/lib/gcc/x86_64-linux-gnu/4.3.3/../../../../lib/crt1.o: In function `_start': /home/aurel32/tmp/eglibc/eglibc-2.9/csu/../sysdeps/x86_64/elf/start.S:109: undefined reference to `main' collect2: ld returned 1 exit status It turned out that I had libmpich1.0-dev installed as well as OpenMPI and the former was a higher priority than OpenMPI. Is that a manifestation of the bug you mean? I solved it by configuring my system to force OpenMPI. But that's not a general solution. How is this to be solved? Thanks, -Steve
