Hi Paolo;

Unfortunately many debian developers consider skype evil, so they
won't find this argument too convincing :-). Anyway, do you know
about the popularity contest mechanism? http://popcon.debian.org

I mention this for two reasons:

1) you could get some data about how many people are using your
software on Debian.

2) maybe it could be adapted for meshlab use on other (linux/unix)
systems in an opt-in way.
