I'd personally like to see ogon-x-backend drop all Xserver code except from the ogon DDX code that really is ogon-x-backend.
We could then build against xorg-server-source and wrap the ogon-x-backend DDX code into the always latest Xserver.
I am aware of one patch that is required for ogon that has not been upstreamed, yet. But that should be patchable, too.
Can you point me to the code / refactoring you have done? I'd like to take a shot at preparing a DDX-only orig tarball. I'd need a DDX that builds against unstable's xorg-server-source pkg.
