A Debian Security Advisory is published when a fix for a problem is
released, and contains details of how to apply it. You'll get the fixes
anyway if your package manager is set to use security.debian.org as a
source, as is the default. The chances of you being hit by the problem
are slim in any case; there's really nothing to be scared about :)

The debian-release list is actually a development list and you'd be
better asking this and other questions on debian-users or on IRC or the
forums [1].
