Installing (with recommends) the kde-base, or gnome metapackage pulls in
zeroconf.
kdebase depends on ksysguard
ksysguard depends on ksysguardd
ksysguardd depends on libavahi-compat-libdnssd1
libavahi-compat-libdnssd1 depends on libnss-mdns
libnss-mdns recommnends zeroconf
gnome depends on rhythmbox
rhythmbox recomends avahi-daemon
avahi-daemon recommends libnss-mdns
libnss-mdns recommends zeroconf
The desktop task in tasksel also installs libnss-mdns, though I think it
does so without recommends.
