Current status is that 2.6.8 kernels are out, except for AMD64.

Dann Frazier has built kernel udebs based on updated kernels and I have
written a script to check that the udebs he has available match the
kernel images available on security.d.o.

For most architectures this looks OK, except for the following:
- AMD64 kernel udebs don't match as AMD64 kernel image not yet on s.d.o
- S/390 kernel udebs don't match kernel image on s.d.o
- For mips the r4k and r5k kernel flavors match, but for sb1-swarm-bn the
kernel udebs don't match kernel image on s.d.o
- m68k kernel udebs were originally built incorrectly; I understood this
has been corrected but new udebs are not yet available in gluck:~dannf
- dannf has upadted 2.2.25 kernel udebs for m68k, but I can find no
matching security update for those on s.d.o
- powerpc was rebuilt as well (because of minor error); not sure if
newer udebs have been copied into gluck:~dannf

So, some work remains to be done on this front before the updated udebs
can be uploaded. And of course we can only upload d-i itself after that.

During early preparations for r3 we also talked about updating the Sarge
release notes. I'd just like to note that no work has been done on that
and it does not look like I will have any time for that anyway myself.

Cheers,
FJP
