Exactly. As long as I didn't need such fresh features like vserver 2.0
or the latest v4l snapshot for 188.8.131.52, I was very happy with stock
Debian 2.6.8 binary (and some modules compiled against the headers).
And such people compiling kernels for playing around, testing,
downsizing, the 'newest from kernel.org' etc. are not the 80% unskilled
