Well the other parts of the diff affect: - incorrect assertions - incorrectly discarding valid responses - conforming more accurately the the relevant de facto standards - sending correctly formed DNS packets I'd be uncomfortable generating a nss-mdns-0.3+endianfix without the other parts of the patch. If the release team are uncomfortable with the size of the diff then perhaps you should remove nss-mdns from the release. I'll leave the decision up to you guys.
