A command such as grep-dctrl -F Depends -s Source,Package libtiff3g /var/lib/apt/lists/debian.oregonstate.edu_debian_dists_unstable_main_binary-alpha_Packages should give you source and binary package names for everything depending on libtiff3g. Emailing <source_package>@packages.debian.org is the best way to ensure the message gets to everyone involved in maintenance of those packages, not just the stated maintainer.
