evms in sarge is fine; the new upstream release in unstable seems to work
well and has nice new features, but it's certainly not critical for sarge.
zaptel is no longer my package, due to lack of appropriate hardware.
Mark Purcell <msp@debian.org> would be a good person to contact for it.
