I'm aware that R does not make a distinction between '-' and '.' in
version strings.  However, if we use 1.0.3 in the Debian package this
is considered a higher version than the current 1.0-8  That's why
it would help if you could stick to the same spelling as the gnm author
has choosen to enable us generating versioned dependencies
automatically inside the vcdExtra package.
