The problem is that the was fixed satisfying a request at the packaging level,
that fix might not have covered all the problems related to okular printing
using lpr, but adding a new error window or replacing the printer management
in okular was out of scope. The second part should be discussed upstream, and
it needs a completely different approach, thus a different bug.

Taking this to the extreme, let's say we have a bug titled "Doesn't work"
reassigning that bug to different packages whenever something breaks is not
really useful.

Right, that's an upstream bug, I think it would be better if okular used
qprinter directly instead of having a tweaked qprinter implementation, but
that might not be feasible, hopefully upstream should be able to assess this.
Could you report this bug upstream?

From the packaging approach perspective, in the past it was suggested that
okular should Conflict with lpr, we didn't act on this as it was not clear if
the other packages providing lpr (lprng and gnuspool) would work with okular.
If you have the time to test this it would be nice to have this information.
