No, you're looking to set up a special infrastructure to support some
wacky corner cases. Why don't you just accept the patches for dvidvi and
upload them?
Sorry but "apt-cache search" will not find the package ... and for me
that's the way to look for Debian packages.
Yeah, and debian packages have a maintainer.
