Erm, really? I did not see any NMU. gs on my system is still at 7.07-1
from June 2003. Or are you referring to gs-aladdin?

I'll gladly accept NMUs. And I would gladly give the maintainership of
gs away to continue as a co maintainer - you don't have interest by
chance?

Ah! Sure - that would be great. gs is just too much load for my spare
time currently. Of course I am still here to help.

Actually I am currently moving into an old building which we have to
renovate. As I never did that before I greatly underestimated the work
which is needed to get it ready to move there. Currently I am still in
my students hostel with most of my stuff in the new flat, I only have a
few clothes and my workstation system left.
