Yes. The relevant change seems to be
https://github.com/libexpat/libexpat/commit/718d51a66b0d69f3b8c5ff63d044c36dd5314232
as reverting that made the error go away for me.
Changing the libnih test suite to accomodate the expat fix seems correct
to me too fwiw. Thanks for your work on this!
