click-man is a tool that can automatically generate manpages for application
written with the click CLI framework. It provides setuptools integration and
can easily be used during the build of a Debian package:

As far as I know, current packaging practices involve either
1. writing a manpage by hand, which is a lot of work
2. generating it ahead-of-time with help2man or somesuch, and commiting it to
the debian/ directory, where it might get out-of-sync with the actual program
3. not shipping manpages at all :(
Automatically generating a manpage during package build would definitely be
preferable to (2) and (3), and possibly to (1) if the result is of sufficient
quality.
I cannot currently commit to packaging and maintaining this package, hence why I
am filing a RFP, and in any case I would probably appreciate having a
comaintainer. :)
