I think the build depends versus separate control field or pyversions discussion ought to be dealt with via some policy mechanism (discussed separately).

Since it's just cosmetic, I the we ought to use XS-... across the board as a team best practice for people to use regardless of the helper in use.  It's a very small step for commonality, but it's probably all we can do right now.
