Just a remark, extract from pycentral:
> #lines = [s[:-1] for s in file('/var/lib/dpkg/info/%s.list' % self.name).readlines()]
> cmd = ['/usr/bin/dpkg-query', '-L', self.name]

So it's _no more_ used (it's commented out) but it relies on dpkg-query -L
instead.
