Quoting Justin B Rye (jbr@edlug.org.uk): > Paris Paris Paris Paris! But the university website does at least > seem to allow the option of giving the address this way: > > The Paris Mini-DebConf 2010 will be held at Université Paris Diderot, > Paris 7, France, on October 30 and 31. "Paris 7" is not part of the address, here. French universities are usually both named after someone (D. Diderot, here) *and* numbered (Paris has 13, if I'm correct, different universities. As an example, Paris 6 is also named "Université Pierre et Marie Curie"). So, indeed, dropping "Paris 7" here is really possible. It should even be done as it can be confusing to outsiders who might think that Université Paris Diderot is located in our 7th "arrondissement" (== borough, in some way). The Paris Mini-DebConf 2010 will be held at Université Paris Diderot, France, on October 30 and 31.
