ACK. As a matter of style, I don't think it would be nice to first have
rules stating "DDs only" and then changing it a posteriori. I'd
personally prefer having DDs+DMs since the beginning and then eventually
prioritize them internally.

Yep, indeed. Please go ahead and do your personal blog post, time is
ticking, and that is not really in contrast with having an official blog
post later on (given that the news has already gone live) and with
re-launching the news in DPN and the like. (Unless someone of -publicity
is against that, of course ... but please say it *now* if it is the case
:-))
