Debian-community, a community for debian users !

Created and set up on 22 January 2007 by a debian developer[0], debian-community.org[1] is a website which has for purpose to promote the debian[2]
distribution by different services.

In order to do this, here are the different services :

- D-c (=Debian-community) makes available different planets (which are not official) for many languages, you can ask (via the mailing list for
example...) the setting up for a planet. Knowing it exists three planets on debian-community, one in Italian, one in English, one in German. Of
course, there are always the official debian planets, their list is available here[3].

- A FAQ for debian etch exists[4], there are only many questions with their reponse(s) for the moment, the FAQ waits for yourself to complete it !

- A mailing list[5] for discussions has been setting up for everybody.

Many people have had ideas to improve the debian-community website and services :

- Make debian-community t-shirts for contributors !

- Provide a jabber and mail service for every contributor.

- You can also promote your project if you want on this webpage[6] !

To thanks contributors, we have created a page[7], don't forget to add yourself ! You will be able as well to watch two videos (but in two
quality for each video) about debian-community at DebConf7 in high quality[8] and in low quality[9], and at FOSDEM 2007 in high quality[10] and in
low quality[11]. Your contributions are welcome ! If you don't know what to do, you will find a TodoList[12].
