Jack, Ardour, Metropolis & Debian
Jack's team is doing and has done an excellent job of recognizing the audio interfaces. However some of these are still not compatible - for example RME "HDSPe Madi FX". The complexity of the latter is due to the Hammerfall dsd converter.
I would like Debian to make his resources available to collaborate not only with Jack or Ardour's team, etc. but also with important and international recording studios such as "Metropolis" in London and with its sound engineers. This recording studio has several analog devices not accessible to anyone for their cost that could be tested with open source distros like Debian through pcie capture cards.
Although Debian is open source, it is like a giant sleeping on a sack full of gold, but you are too busy arguing among yourselves ...
