I'm not sure that the polls are important enough to be worth the trouble
unless they get really popular, but maybe the message of welcoming
non-DDs is important.
You'd still need to replace the LDAP account lookup, though.
Notably this is the stage technically impeding voting twice (with
different keys and key uids), not that it'd be strictly neccessary for
informal polls...
