One thing I'd like to suggest are bi-weekly (or monthly) public
IRC-meetings between the release managers, ftp-masters and QA people to
discuss release matters. It seems to work pretty well for other
projects, and might improve the communication and information both
between the groups but also towards the bigger developer body.
