These are incorrect. I'd see this as a packaging error and can reproduce
it. Edit the PPD and replace "foomatic-rip-hplip" with "foomatic-rip".
Can you print now?

Entirely my fault.
ls -l /usr/lib/cups/filter/foomatic-rip
is what you want.

It comes with cups-filters - which you must have on your system.
