As far as I can see, it doesn't apply cleanly against unstable's 1.0.71. Would you mind rebasing your patch against 1.0.71 (or ideally against HEAD [0])? That said, I'm not going to take such an extensive patch on my maintainer shoulders, and this patch should really live on the upstream side. Till: would you be open to merge this upstream?
