Unfortunately, I can't reproduce this on my Jessie box: I setup SSLPort 
in cupsd.conf and restarted cups, then accessed the webinterface without 
problems or crashes.

I don't see why it wouldn't have, and there was no SONAME bump in 
stable.

That would be weird, but I can't check: the build logs aren't 
accessible.

Could you describe in details how you can manage to crash cupsd, 
starting from a clean install, with precise instructions on what you're 
changing in cupsd.conf ? That'd help a lot.

That said, testing that a stretch version does (or doesn't) crash would 
also be good to have!
