I am probably not the best person to answer this because I do not know
the difference between RGB and CMYK. :)

However, if the PPD you have used needs changing so do others for
similar printers. The desire to do this from within Debian might be
distinctly muted.

I'm guessing the PPD is from gutenprint so I suggest you contact them
and record a link to the report in this bug.
