Package: gnome-cups-manager
Version: 0.25-2
Severity: normal
configuration: desktop computer with gnome-cups-manager and cups for one
local printer, central cups server with 10 central
printers
effect: the central server is flooded with requests from gnome-cups-icon:
D [11/Nov/2004:10:13:38 +0100] ProcessIPPRequest: 5 status_code=1
D [11/Nov/2004:10:13:38 +0100] ReadClient: 5 POST / HTTP/1.1
D [11/Nov/2004:10:13:38 +0100] ProcessIPPRequest: 5 status_code=1
D [11/Nov/2004:10:13:38 +0100] ReadClient: 5 POST / HTTP/1.1
D [11/Nov/2004:10:13:38 +0100] ProcessIPPRequest: 5 status_code=1
D [11/Nov/2004:10:13:38 +0100] ReadClient: 5 POST / HTTP/1.1
(around 10 per second)
Anyway, my user would prefer to see only an icon for the local printer
and not status icons for all printers in the network. Is this
configurable somewhere?
Regards, Meik

thanks
Now we uploaded CUPS 1.2.1 to unstable.
fixed-in-experimental bugs can be closed.
About #349341, I noticed I needed to modify the order of control file.
It's already fixed and will provide a correct dependency.
Thanks,
